About Adena > Volunteering

You are invited to share the care as a member of our volunteer team. You can provide valuable assistance and input in areas such as patient care, outreach programs, delivery services, clerical services, gift shop, and in many other ways. Your sharing provides many benefits for patients, the community, and, most importantly, you!

Volunteers

  • Add a human touch to today's high-tech healing.
  • Raise funds to benefit the community through the purchase of medical equipment.
  • Promote education through scholarships for those pursuing healthcare careers.
  • Enable the elderly or homebound to maintain independence through the Lifeline Emergency Response System.

Volunteers benefit through an increased sense of satisfaction, fulfillment and contribution; a longer, happier life, meeting new friends and catching up with old; improving job skills and developing a work record for future employment; putting values into action; building self-esteem; and gaining recognition and appreciation for your efforts.

Volunteer opportunities exist for men and women, single people and couples. There are no age limits or restrictions, except for persons under the age of 13. Volunteers are willing to give four hours monthly to help others; want to learn new skills and talents; have a strong sense of ethics; want to work in a medical environment; are dependable and punctual; and are friendly and outgoing.
